Late one night while hauling some sort of railway machinery I stopped my truck near Nashville Tennessee U.S.A. at a local rest area for cars and trucks, to watch T.V. and get some sleep. In the morning I took a short walk around the area and noticed a nice shiny truck pull up and park nearby. The fifty something couple got out of their truck holding a cute small poodle. They walked about for a while with the dog on a lease walking between them. In the next instant a large American eagle (also known as a bald eagle) swooped down hitting the couple with its wings while picking up the poodle in its talons. Over the treetops out of view it flew with the poodle in its talons and the dog leash dangling. The couple was badly shaken by the ordeal knowing that they would never see their cute little poodle again.
